Reports indicate that the backs of these two gentlemen’s t-shirts were both emblazoned with 2s. Cam Newton would like to keep it. It’s Jimmy Clausen’s for the moment, but the incumbent said, “We’ll see what happens.” I’m betting some of the No.1 pick’s bonus money finds it’s way into Jimmy Clausen’s wallet and the 2 ends up on Newton’s back (well, whenever the NFL decides to start paying players again).

Jimmy Clausen currently occupies the 2 jersey for the Panthers, Cam Newton’s new team. Unless the No.1 pick makes a deal with Clausen (and possible Jason Baker, the Carolina punter who wears 7, Clausen’s number at Notre Dame), Newton will be wearing 1, 5, 13, 14, 17,18, or 19 next season. C’mon, Jimmy. Don’t make me stop including Cam Newton on this blog. Either that, or step up and make that 2 jersey worth your while.
